My name is Trent Morgan. I am currently working in the Career and Technical Education Department (CTE) as the Coop Coordinator and I help as a Technology/Instructional Coach at Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto, Illinois. I started teaching at CM in 2007. Prior to teaching at CMHS I taught at Staunton High School for two years 2005 & 2006. I graduated from Lindenwood University – St. Charles, MO in 1997 with a Degree in Business Administration. Before becoming a teacher in 2005 I worked in the business field for eight years. I received my Master's Degree in Teaching from Lindenwood University – St. Charles, MO in 2008. While at CM I have also obtained the following endorsements: Social Science, Co-op, and Middle School. I currently teach various computer and business classes in the CTE Department. Three of the classes I teach receive college dual credit...they include: Web 135 (Adobe Muse & HTML), CIS 135 (Computer Literacy / Microsoft Suite) and Adobe Photoshop. I enjoy working with computer applications that show students multiple ways to perform different tasks. I also coordinate the Coop Program. The Coop Program allows CMHS Seniors' to work and go to school. I help CMHS students' gain valuable work experience while attending school. Working as the Technology/Instructional Coach for CMHS has also allowed me to help teachers with implementing technology in the classroom as well helping with instructional strategies. The last two years I became the Boys and Girls Bowling Coach for the Civic Memorial Eagles. In 2017 the Boys team qualified for the IHSA State Tournament and Devin Davis finished his career as one of the best 60 bowlers in the State of Illinois.
I live in Jersey County, Illinois with my wife Beth and my 19-year-old son Grant. We bought an old farmhouse that was originally built in the 1860's. It has been a lot of fun getting the old house into shape! We have three pets a poodle/terrier mix named Charlie, an English Bulldog named Duke and a cat named Gizmo. Other than continuing my education, I spend a lot of time in the fall as a football coach. My hobbies include: golfing, shooting, and working on our "old house". My wife and I really enjoy Charleston, South Carolina.
